CCDA is a foundation level certification offered by Cisco in the field of network designing. It helps the candidates to have a great career in networking field. The curriculum of CCDA certification includes building up of multilayer-ed switched networking, building up of inter networks and network architecture designing.
CCDA certification exams are classified into two routes. Route #1 contains three exams and route #2 consists of two exams. Candidates can choose any of the two routes to obtain CCDA certification.

Route#1

1.    BCMSN (Building up of Cisco multilayer Switched networks) or 642-812 BCMSN which is of 90 minutes duration.
2.     BSCI (Building up of scalable Cisco Internet works) or 642-901 BSCI which is of 90 minutes duration.
3.    ARCH (designing of Cisco networking service architectures) or 642-871 ARCH which is 90 minutes duration and having approximately 65 questions.

Route#2

1.    ARCH (designing of Cisco networking service architectures) or 642-871 ARCH which is 90 minutes duration and having approximately 65 questions.
2.    BSCI (Building up of scalable Cisco Internetworks) and BCMSN (Building up of Cisco multilayer Switched networks) or 642-892 composite- combined examination in 2 hours duration.
Candidates can take exam through Pearson VUE test center or pro-metric test center. Certification validity is up to 3 years. After this validity period, re certification exam has to be taken by passing any current CCIE exam or any 642 professional level examinations.
